Re: Game Nostalgia Thread
That's the first thing I tried. It won't even run without it. I think maybe my disk is scratched, it's very... well loved. Also, the old version of Quicktime Myst uses might have something to do with it, since I don't know how to set that up for Vista at all.

Re: Game Nostalgia Thread
The Sonic the Hedgehog games on Genesis were the best. I still have music from them stuck in my head to this day. It's really a shame it turned from a video game series into a franchise.

It isn't super old, but my absolute favorite was planetside. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J5RzlySO6fAEvery single goddang thing moving/shooting were 1000's of dudes on their computers strategizing or just zerging one base to the next. You could always find an epic battle. I miss having a computer good enough to play it. And a job to pay for it. Also such a great game. I tried converting/playing it on my PSP but the lack of buttons makes it so much harder to play.

There are tonnes of games that make me nostalgic. Diablo, Unreal Tournament, Altered Beast, Zombies Ate My Neighbours, Klonoa: Door to Phantomile, Jumping Flash II, JetMoto, Tekken II and III, Soul Blade, Bushido Blade, countless others... Then again, I don't have a long enough time period to feel real nostalgia.

Silent Hill, the original for PSX. I don't really like any of the sequels, but the first was pretty well-done, particularly the atmosphere/ambient setting when you think about the graphical restrictions of 1999 ALSO: Metal Gear, Metal Gear 2, and Metal Gear Solid, because I'm a sucker for games with giant robots :3

Jazz Jackrabbit is a legend. Also, any of you guys ever played Triplane Turmoil? That's a real pearl. And it's even made in Finland!
