Who says I'm trolling? I honestly hate Modern Warfare 2, and wanted to say that.

Yeah, I really can't say it better than this. I'm not against MW1, but any other game with Call Of Duty in the name is unplayable to me.

there are literally no AAA titles that are not fun, and every single call of duty has been fun

you might not like them on a general level but no matter how much you bandwagon with the internet on disliking something the fact remains that mainstream videogames are fun; that's why they're mainstream games. major publishers don't take many chances, they rely on tried and true formulas

people going online and killing the ♥♥♥♥ out of each other in new and exciting ways is one way a whole shitton of people like to have fun

this applies to halo (no matter how much anyone dislikes the franchise), call of duty games (even the shitty ones by treyarch are decent to play)

Everyone has individual preferences and experiences. It is, in fact, perfectly OKlahoma for someone to come to these forums and say that they dislike the game, and to say why. So long as every post furthers the discussion, every post is valid and belongs here. It's also folly to try and convince someone to like a game that they already say they dislike.

I liked the campaing, it had interesting cut scenes and good maps but Ill have to say that the multiplayer is a bit broken.
Im sorry to say that lightweight pro, marathon pro and commando pro class with tactical knive is really noobish class and it makes the game feel broken sometimes.
It just isnt fun because you can just slide like 5m really fast and hit like 3 guys with tactical knive before somebody has the time to shoot you.

Why did you say that tactical knife is noobish class and it makes the game feel broken sometimes? It means that tactical knife is not really useful?

basically what you're saying is that all games are fun because they entertain you, but really fun is relative and when someone says something isn't fun they are comparing it to something else.

personally I dislike the game, why do AI with riot shield spaz out when flash banged and are also able to shoot with the riot shield out? why does being hit by a riot shield kill you (one of the easiest way to kill AI)? grass apparently does not obscure AI aiming whereas it's pretty much impossible to see past grass for human players. the enemy AI is ridiculously good at "spotting" you even if they logically would not be able to see you and can pinpoint exactly where you are (can run around corners shooting the instance they have a line of vision, ♥♥♥♥ having to work out where you'd be). heartbeat sensor is ridiculous in multi player. perks are retarded, instead of handicapping newbs they give pros better equipment. non of these make the game impossible but I just think it's bad design.

however the biggest reason I dislike this game is because I don't really play console FPS's often and my mate plays this all the time and he blatantly screen watches too, I try to set up situations to prove he's screen watching when I think he is and I definitely proved it once and he got pissed and acted like a little kid about it, I can take loosing and know when I'm doing something stupid but there are just some situations that would not happen if he couldn't see my screen and you can tell. I've never felt like any kill was unfair in TF2 (or soldat, or quake...). there's nothing anyone can do about this without inventing ridiculous hardware but I don't like consoles for it

robolee you posted like six arbitrary absurdly minute reasons that you 'dislike' the game

and you can't honestly believe that screenwatching is something that you can take exception to modern warfare two for; it's been a constant problem on every local multiplayer console game ever

so in conclusion: you're wrong, because you make ineffective and comically pathetic "points" against the game

you can't even come up with a decent criticism of the actual gameplay, which is just stupid, because it's the only reason the game could be made completely unenjoyable. the root of the game is fun; disagreeing with the substance is just nitpicking and personal choice

Lol. I screen peak even when I play PC games. Like, my friend will set up Starcraft LAN and I'll screen peak to hell- 'cause I know they're doing it too.

I NEVER said it was a very bad game, or tried to imply that it had bad gameplay elements as you even said, the points I made before the screen watching are valid bad points specific to the game, but the fact that this and assasins creed 2 are the only games I played at his house kinda does make the screen watching specific to this game on a personal basis. it wasn't a review but a personal statement/experience of why I dislike it, stop defending it needlessly.

in conclusion: you're wrong, because you tried to debunk personal reasons for my dislike of the game, and then tried to redeem the game by saying my points against the gameplay (I made none, I criticized a few design choices) weren't decent and that I was stupid because of it.

I will now say though that I don't like the game because I'm not really into the COD series because I don't find the plot particularly interesting and I don't like the game scenarios (grab this device that's purposely behind the wall so you can't see us spawn these guys when you touch it. it just felt really unrealistic and forced and it was trying too be too james bond like and cinematic). I'm overly critical of most AAA games because they don't seem to put any love into the product and it shows. there don't seem to be many people saying "hey I thought of a really good idea for a game", more like people saying "think of an idea for a game that would sell well" and people being under pressure to think of something that would sell and then looking at games that have sold well or just suggesting sequels.

Honestly I thought the vehicles were one of the worst parts. If they're going to do vehicles, they should put effort into it.
It felt like someone came in at the last minute and said "Hey, you need some kind of vehicle!"
Also, this was my first CoD game, and it tried way too hard to look cool. Half of the game is just: follow this guy. go here. follow this guy until you trigger this cutscene. And you still get doused in gasoline and burned.
So, how long did it take all of you to realize that the Ghillie in the Mist challenge unlocks different camos for your Ghillie suit?
Or didn't you? I saw it on a website before I saw it ingame.

I discovered it when I got the challenge. It was pretty cool.

Also, rank 51, first prestige, and I just went 52-3 with a terrible class involving scrambler, hardline, and scavenger. I love camping. Also, they fixed the bling 1887s and the care package markers, so the game is fun again. Or at least, less annoying.
