It is late, so I decide to sleep in the house of the Redguard woman I killed earlier.
I get up at the crack of dawn, and step outside.
It is very, very foggy.
Still, this doesn't bother me, and I decide to walk down the river to a small fishing village I've heard about- Hla Oad.
As I walk down, I entertain the possibility of murdering all it's inhabitants.
I also consider remarking on what a very nice day it is, when suddenly;
The skies open, and lightning and torrential rains pour out.
Well, this sucks.
Still, I press onwards, and I see something rather peculiar.
Well, I'll be damned if that isn't a shipwreck.
And that of course means that I need to refer to my manual on murder and looting.
(more on that later)
I don't find much of value outside the wreck, except for a couple of gold and a silver longsword, which I decide to pocket incase I find myself battling with ghosts, or werewolves, perhaps.
Disappointingly, the captain's cabin is empty, but I find a small quantity of moon sugar in the hold.
I head down to the lowest deck, and oh!
I loot a couple of gold from the skeleton, but I find
three diamonds in the chest.
There isn't much else of note, and when I step outside, my mood is further bolstered by the dramatic improvement of the weather.
I barely crest the small hill on the other side of the wreck, when I'm presented with another ship, this one intact.
Further investigation reveals a small dock, and I suspect this is a smugglers port.
I subtly examine the contents of the barrels on the deck, but I don't find anything illegal.
A look inside the hold and I find cargo of rather more interest.
Ebony. Heavy, illegal, and very profitable.
Lots of it.
There is only one guy in the hold, and I quickly construct a plan in my mind.
I'll chop him to pieces, loot all the ebony, loot everything in the lower hold as well, and then nonchalantly walk out.
I don't like to spend too much time on planning.
My claymore makes quick work of the barbarian who is guarding the ebony, and I rush to collect it all.
I head into the lower hold, and I'm surprised to see another guard.
Regardless, the sword comes out again, with the same results as last time.
I quickly gather up the remaining ebony, and rush out onto the deck of the ship.
Then I remember the plan, and walk off the ship, before quickening my pace as I head to Hla Oad.
My plans for murder in the village will have to go unfulfilled for now, as I need to get to a city where I can sell all the various valuable commodity's I've acquired.
So, I take the boat to Vivec.
On the way, I work out how much ebony I have.
I have 28 pieces, which will make me a very wealthy man.
Or, it would do if anyone in Vivec could afford it all.
Merchants rarely pass up the opportunity to purchase ebony despite it's illegality, simply because it is worth so much.
So, I take the Mages Guild teleport to Balmora, where I sell the remainder of the ebony, as well as the moon sugar and diamonds.
I end up very wealthy, in Balmora, in the evening.
This feels familiar.
Where to next, and what should I spend the money on?Note: Having the money to buy awesome stuff is only half the problem.
You also need to find someone who is selling it.
I'll update the previous update in a bit, but I feel this one is pretty decent.
