Re: Discussion: best RTS game.
Up until i played Universe at War, the best (in my opinion) is/was Empire Earth (epic online battles).
Now I must go with UaW (epicness).

Re: Discussion: best RTS game.
People say starcraft, but they don't really know. I actually still play it, and have for years, so it wins in the all around and life time achievement categories, but I don't know if it is still really relevant in one of these discussions. Same goes for Homeworld 2. It was really awesome (I never played it much, never bought it even) but it lacked some of the depth of other games, even from the same time. It still looks pretty good though. Company of Heroes was also pretty amazing, but it was just one step too high for my computer for me to actually buy it. I can only run it on low settings. Warcraft III only so-so because it didn't have big armies. C&C3 was lame. No balance whatsoever. Sins of a Solar Empire doesn't run well enough on my computer and there aren't that many people on line. Not the most exciting game either. Age of Empires III was very fun. I played it for a year and was a least pretty good at it. Looked great when it came out. Unit models could use some more detail though... Max Payne II: The Fall of Max Payne is by far the best RTS ever, bar none. Any fan of RTS should buy it IMMEDIATELY! No joke here. Buy it now. Or download it, what do I care. Also see the movie on Friday!

I just wanted to give the genre a go on the 360. Doesn't work well.

No, not really. I was desperate for some RTS action, and I don't buy games for my P.O.S pc.

Starcraft has always been fun, epically balanced, and Protoss mind control for the ultimate dual-faction technology tree for pure awesome! All the thing needs is a graphical overhaul and it'd be up to date. And homeworld was just BITCHIN'! Not only did you get phatty star cruisers with ion cannonc and rockets galore, one of the expansion packs let you see the action from inside the cockpit which was even more fun. I just didn't like how they took out a faction for it, kinda lame. Sci-fi space shooters are always fun. I like you Aspect.

The most expensive game in the world is WoW after all. 90 bucks for the game. 30 every 2 months. then 90 when they release expenasions. that adds up to: A HELL OF A LOT MORE THAN IT'S WORTH!
