   |   Re: Prelude: A Side Scrollin' Zombie Fort GameI love the collapse system. Was that the first thing you did?

   |   Re: Prelude: A Side Scrollin' Zombie Fort GameFirst thing was player movement, tile sprites, and level management and generation, then the support/collapse system. Took a while to get down (a few days of puzzling it out) but I'm happy with it. Now I've got to find a good way of getting the player to clamber up edges without getting funny physics issues like I am now. lol, fail.regardless, I'll get it working by tonight. It works in all situations other than those involving downwards movement so it's likely a velocity issue.

   |   Re: Prelude: A Side Scrollin' Zombie Fort GameThe control system is rather odd, considering you need two hands for the keyboard, and one more hand for the mouse? Wouldn't the movement work better on WASD?

   |   Re: Prelude: A Side Scrollin' Zombie Fort GameThere won't be mouse control in the final. It's for testing.

   |   Re: Prelude: A Side Scrollin' Zombie Fort GameUpdate on the page. You can now clamber up edges, which makes getting around a lot easier. Tweaked the gravity, though it could probably go up some more. I'll probably chuck variable jump heights onto this and call player movement just about done for now.

   |   Re: Prelude: A Side Scrollin' Zombie Fort GameLove the support mechanic, fun to look at when the bottom layer is deleted.

   |   Re: Prelude: A Side Scrollin' Zombie Fort GameHow does the clambering work? I can't seem to do it.

   |   Re: Prelude: A Side Scrollin' Zombie Fort GameOdd. That didn't seem to be working before.

   |   Re: Prelude: A Side Scrollin' Zombie Fort GameAllstone: It's possible you got in quick enough for the host not to have updated before you played it. I'll get proper hosting at some point

   |   Re: Prelude: A Side Scrollin' Zombie Fort GameAnyone found any bugs yet? I have, and I'll work on fixing it, but for now I've got to keep writing my seminar, it's only at ~7 minutes and I've got to get it to 12. Not used to doing this sort of thing <_<

   |   Re: Prelude: A Side Scrollin' Zombie Fort GameWell, the right upper 2 dirt squares usually collapse at the beginning of the game.

   |   Re: Prelude: A Side Scrollin' Zombie Fort GameThat's just because there isn't any dirt to the right of it to support it. Same with the left corner sometimes.
