@Matt: That's lag. Wait a bit and it'll work. EDIT: Also apparently if you walk away from the starting area it'll work better. No confirmation on that.

@Yoman: You can try but the server will only accept Minecraft Alpha client connections.

The starting area has spawn protection, that's why you can't destroy ♥♥♥♥ there.

Alright everyone, once I get off work and open those ports I'll have the lagless server up.


Duh, when I'm ready, send me the world unless we decide to start a new one.

The current world's pretty cavernous and full of ores (Not that we can smelt them though lol). So I'd like to play the current one for a little longer.

Minecarts don't work.
Items can only be picked up if you mess with your inventory in certain ways.
The game can reset back to what is was five seconds ago. Usually it switches back in a few seconds.
You can't attack each other.
No monsters or animals.
You can't smelt.
The contents of treasure chests aren't shared.
You lose your inventory when you log out, be it in a chest or anywhere else.
It's always day, there is no night.

Can't wait til this gets ironed out more.

In the meanwhile, has anyone ever attempted pixel art in creative mode?

Hopefully Notch fixes some of it before he leaves.
