Fighting Games
I've played the ♥♥♥♥ out of SCIV back after it came out. I've played a touch of Tekken but I'm trying to get into the 2D scene now with SFIV. Anyone into fighting games? Do you feel execution is too hard in these games? Are you a crazy "frame counter" like myself?

Re: Fighting Games
I have the original street fighter, but I suck at it, along with any other fighter I get. However, I am good at Super Smash Bros games, if those count.

Re: Fighting Games
The design of Guilty Gear really appeals to me- but I don't really know who to play with. My friends are only interested on playing fighting games on a shallow level and from what I hear GG is one of the deepest. Is BlazBlue a good substitute? I've heard mixed things about it.
@Dragon lol school tourney. Personally, Brawl is really boring to me and its alright game design was executed very poorly. I do enjoy 64, however. I hear Melty Blood is pretty good though. One of my SCIV friends swears by it. Marvel vs Capcom looks interesting too, but I heard that online everyone just picks Magneto who is super broke.
I also have Neo Geo Battle Coliseum (PS2) lying around, and it's okay. I grew up playing Tekken 2 and 3 with my dad, as well as Soul Blade and Bushido Blade (if that counts).

Re: Fighting Games
I'm pretty freakin amazing with Mitsurugi in Soul Calibur 4. Well, to be more precise, I use a custom character with his fighting style, but w/e. Him and Amy are my favorites.

Re: Fighting Games
Oh yeah, Mitsurugi has a fun stance game. And Amy is a cute loli.
Which console do you have SCIV for? I haven't played in ages, but I'd be interested to see how you play. I play Nightmare, Tira, and Zasalamel a bit. Mostly I poke and space/step until I score a whiff.

Re: Fighting Games
I play on XBox, but don't have live. My fighting style is being a turtle, and hitting with punishing combos when I see an opening.

Re: Fighting Games
That's a shame, even on the hardest difficulty the AI doesn't come close to being like a human. Do you go to any offline gatherings? I know HolyForce is around Ohio, and he was the best Raph in North America before he mysteriously vanished.

Re: Fighting Games
Well, I'd like to say that I wasn't terrible at SC2, back in the day, but that would probably be lying. I don't think I've ever played against a human being in any such game other than SSB: Melee.

Re: Fighting Games
Not really a serious fighting game player myself, only one I really enjoy is Brawl. I guess you can tell I'm not a serious player because I like it and apparently all the good people don't.

Re: Fighting Games
I suppose Street Fighter is an O.K. fighting game. 2-D Graphics make a bit odd, but it is still pretty fun to play.
Super Smash Brothers Brawl is also good, but I don't like how some of the items and special abilities are way too powerful and are either instant kill or close to instant kill.

You know you are too young when you say something like 2-D Graphics make a fighting game odd. Back on topic: I have a Street Fighter Alpha 3 machine at work. Love it. Chun-li X-ism all the way.
