I'm in need of something to do
So I wanted to make a background for a scene.
I haven't made anything serious for CC in a while, and I've never done anything with scenes.
So I just need all the info. for backgrounds (does it have to be in palette, resolution/size, etc.) and then just tell me what you want, I'll hopefully photoshop it good.

Backgrounds need to be 640X480 and in pallette. I don't recommend using glow colours unless you're making stars or a sun.
Make something cool, night scenes are nice.

Re: I'm in need of something to do
two things-
One is a green field/hills. Like the bliss desktop for windows. I used it for a background and it looked kinda ok, but if someone (you) really worked on a green backdrop that would be very good.
Number 2 is a battlefield. Maybe just a redo of number 1 but with craters and maybe a bombed out building or two. For my battlefield map I really wanted to use one of these but just dont have the spritability to make them good. I modified existing webimages but they turned out kinda bad

Jesus Christ did anyone realize when my post on this was?
But I will look into trying this again, I'll see what I can do.
Edit: How do I get into palette in Photoshop?

Re: I'm in need of something to do
First you made no sense then you jumped off-topic. Congratulations.
I'm going to be making these from scratch, trying my best to fit them in with what's currently in the game, but whenever I open an image, it still gives me the full palette, not the CC 256-color palette.
If someone could assist me in making photoshop use the 256-color palette, I'd be grateful.

Re: I'm in need of something to do
you can just draw an image in full (all) collors, and when your finished go to: Image -> Mode -> Indexed colors... choose on "pallete": "Custom", and load the pallete, if you dont have the pallete saved somwhere, then just go to a gun from cortex command (in photoshop) and do: Image -> Mode -> CollorTable, and save it from there. so you can load it in your own file. if you load in the pallete after you have mad the image, all the collors of the image will go to the nearest collors of that pallete. and to get out of the pallete go to: Image -> Mode -> RBG collors.

Re: I'm in need of something to do
Thank you. Now to give making a scene background a shot.
Edit: Color Table is grayed out when I open a sprite, the palette is still in CC, right?
I'll just use that.

Re: I'm in need of something to do
No, I mean I couldn't click the color table button.
But uhh... I'm making progress, I'll hopefully have something presentable soon.
