I love the new Bunker modules.
Along with all the new BG's, maybe except for the City one, that would look cooler if not all entirely black.

Maybe some shading.

Another question, does anyone know if it's possible to create objects that, when dug, give gold?
I've noticed that the materials.ini file has gold @ colour
R = 248
G = 242
B = 66
but you can't use this colour to create .bmp files in the CC palette. It jumps to a nearby colour instead. Very confusing.

Thanks for trying to help but that isn't going to work.
Never mind though; I'll skip this idea I was having.

you know I was looking at the backgrounds for space ones and I'm thinking you could get a ton more pretty easily by looking through this one site's archives. I found it a while back, and recently its been getting thousands of hits on digg, so everyone check it out

APOD
(astronomy picture of the day)
its a NASA run site and has it's own forum and archives that date back to its creation. It is my first stop to find more desktop pictures.

well, why not just make the golden object over the tutorial module (small dirty hill with gold). Eyedrop the golden colour and save your creation to another file.

Well, I am about done. Tired though, so I'll zip and upload them tomorrow in the Scenes section. :)

Some quick screens that might warm you up a little:

Questions.

1. Does the barbed wire actually hurt actors?
2. What's up with the halloween-esque map?
3. How many different variants of maps did you make?
4. How many Bunker Modules did you make?

From what I can see your maps have very sharp un-natural changes in the geometry of the terrain. also you use a lot of pre built bunker modules, that's okay but original sprites would be better (draw it using very little colours but add a texture/noise, I can tell this is what prom did.* The concrete is a single colour of grey with noise I think.)

*obviously I don't know, but I'm pretty sure on it... I did this myself and got something very similar.

Only the doom levels have weird straight lines. The rest should be okay, apart from the purposely created flatness for aligned object placement. Check them out if you like. (They're in the scenes section.)

About the bunker modules: I don't see myself drawing new bunker modules, since I simply don't have the time nor desire for that. Gawd knows what build 21 would bring, but one can be sure it'll probably be better than what I can cough up. :roll:
