Post Removing the brain-damaging brain damage effect
Title says it all. It's horrible and I hate it. Any way to remove it? (Apart from, you know, being pro and not taking damage.)

I'm sorry, what is it that you're wanting?
The title is confusing.

He's talking about the horrid Red/White Flashy Epileptic inducing screen effect that occurs when your precious brain takes damage. Now, I know for a fact that in B23 you could have multiple brains, so if one died the mission wouldn't fail (unsure why this feature was removed....) but what I do know is that

1. It's hardcoded.

2. It was added in B27. (You may want to get pre-B27 builds if you realllllyyyy hate it, but you'll end up missing out on some amazing mods sadly....)

3. Any changes would require recompiling the source.

I'm unsure as to why Data thought not having this as something toggable would be a GOOD thing. As it's an invasive screen effect. And is pointless. I mean I really really hate it.

Dude, the point of that screen effect is to alert you that your brain is taking damage.
Without it, you might never notice.

That's fine, but it's the only effect on screen that takes over your whole screen. Which to some of us is invasion and bothersome. I don't see why you wouldn't even create a toggable console command at the very least.

It's so invasive, and seeing how we can mod so much out of this game. For instance, a brain that never dies. Why wouldn't we have the freedom to at least *mod* this out of our games?
