You know what? I am going to toss a request in here. Better try and fail than never having tried. Or something like that.

The problem is that I really hate the obvious dummy copies in UniTec, and my serious lack in spriting 'skills' torpedoes any attempt I make at making something out of them.
A recent discussion with someone rekindled the flame of dummy resprite hate, tried one more time to have a somewhat decent result, cried and then posted here.

If anyone would be up to and willing to give it a go, please give me a hand. I have no idea how I would repay you, but I'll find a way.

I had something like this in mind myself, but really, I wouldn't want to kill off someone's artistic freedom, so... >_>

I have a bit of spare time, so I might take a stab at this (But don't let that stop anybody else).
I've done up an initial head and torso but the perspective/angle probably needs tweaking on the torso. Not sure what scale you were aiming for, I think it's built for a roughly coalition trooper sized unit. I have a few days off so I might be able to get through arms/legs, I'll see how I go. Is this the kind of thing you're after?

All looking pretty good, though! 'cept there's something that just subtly bugs me about Technomancer's attempt... might be the lack of outlining?

Contrary contacted me through a pm and he made me realize (some of) you might be waiting for me to give feedback.
(I got the idea that you were all still busy with them, so...)

@Technomancer: Although still very good, I do miss the outlining a bit, and a bit of detail.
I hope you'll finish it though! Might be the base of a brand new mod. (Hopefully you're not disappointed. Your sprite IS afterall pretty good.)

@Coops9753: Excellent shading and outlining as usual. It looks a bit alien though. Not very UniTec'y. Would you mind if it would be enlisted by the zealots?

@The Decaying Soldat: Looks really like that picture. Lacks a bit of shading here and there, but overall very nice.
@Contrary: What I said in the PM.
I'd love to use both of them if you'd allow it. Either replace both dummies with one of yours or give SHIELD a robot as well.

Oh, that was early stuff, I upped the outlining/contrast a bit since then. Was just waiting until I'd made more progress to post it. Still have to work out contrast better, at least as far as doing blue on blue-white. I've got legs done, feet and arms upcoming when I get round to it. I've got another mod in progress at the moment so I probably won't use these sprites, might put it in the sprite-dump though if it goes otherwise unused.
EDIT: Oh yeah, also, kinda tank legs! Woo!
