Post Wild West Mod
I really really really really really really really really really Want this to happen. I want to try to mod it but I don't have lots of free time... I think a wild west mod with some bandits and cowboys would be cool.

So just like a mod with like 2 or 3 actors, and some revolvers?

I have no problem on coding stuff. Except time, but I always have some time to mod, and I do it quite quick.

I'd just need help on the sprites, because I SUCK at spriting.

Post Re: Wild West Mod
Some "basic" framework.

Code:
Old West Mod
--------------------

Pistols:
===============
Peacemaker (Yes I know it’s already made, but I would like it to look and shoot a little different.)
Colt Single Action Army Revolver
Smith and Wesson Model 3
Colt 1860 Navy Revolver
Walker Colt

Rifles:
===============
Coach Gun (Double-barrel shotgun)
Winchester Model 1873 Rifle
Pennsylvania/Kentucky/Tennessee/Hog/Long Rifle (Lots of names)

Actors:
===============

### Now hear me out on this idea I have, I was thinking that all of the guns in the pistol and rifle sections can be buy-able, but I had an idea today that, for example: say there is an actor that we would call a Sharpshooter, he carries a long rifle but he would have more benefits than others with this gun, he can reload faster, have farther sight, and he is a better aim with this gun. The we would say we have a Gunslinger, he walks a bit faster, carries two Peacemakers and can shoot them faster than normal. These “specialist” guns would not be for sale though as the actor is trained in the skill of it. If you have questions ask. ###

Gunslinger (Duel-Peacemakers, shoots fast, moves fast.)
Sharpshooter (Long rifle, better aim, faster reload, farther sight)
Blaster (Coach gun, more pellets in a shot, shoots farther, faster reload)
Etc. [Name any if you have suggestions]

Extras:
===============
Knifes
Throwing knifes (Oh mai gosh! Sooo different.)
Suggest more if you would like.

I'll try to sprite, never done this game though... Or all those gibs... I guess it will be a learning process.

I have some ideas for what you say for the guns.
Hm... Interesting ideas you have there.

I can probably do some stuff you ask for, but not as good as other scripters in the forum can. Still, if you want my help anyway, I can help you.

I'm going to try spriting on my own now.

That's actually a pretty nice sprite for someone who is 'trying'.
As for the mod, you could just make some separate guns that do all of these magical things instead of the actors. Because it would be hard to make an actor do that. For reals. You just make these special limited edition magic guns not buyable and BOOM, done.

Hopefully you can work with these sprites.

-Snipped due to wrong spriting-

I think you could change stuff, but some other and less important. Like, when the gun is fired, I make the bullet check who fired it, and if it was fired by an specific actor, I could change some things like the mass, sharpness, speed, or range of the bullet.

But I don't think that it is possible to directly interfere with the characteristics of the weapon itself. Maybe it is, but I don't know that much lua.

Not sure I fully understand that last post. But if I can explain anything here I go: Firstly lets example a Sharp shooter. There will be a normal Long Gun that is buyable and a second specialist version that is not buyable but is equipped to the Sharpshooter. It's the gun that is altered, not the actor.

Ahh, I thought something different.

I thought that you meant a standard gun, buyable, usable by any character, but if you equipped that gun to an specific actor, let's say the sharpshooter, the gun was more effective.

So we could have a coalition soldier with a winchester doing a bad job, and a Sharpshooter with the same winchester killing badly.

What you say is easier then.

Yes. I am glad you understand now. I need actor sprites but I really don't feel that confident.

I suck at spriting, as said before. And your sprites aren't bad, you just need time and patience to do them.

Yes indeed. But all my other sprite were from photo editing and computer whizzicles. Actors aren't quite the same.

As for you I have no personal control but it would be cool indeed if you could start on the guns. I forgot a knife so I'll get that to you soon.
