Im new to the CC community. I've been playing CC before i registered 2 the community and i noticed in mod releases, i saw old mods. And i was wondering could you ppl make the old mods again like the ol' R cannon (or launcher) and when you throw a bomb, you can spawn creatures. I would really appreciated it

The reason the old mods aren't updated is because quite a lot of them used .ini tactics and ducktape that is inferior to new tactics and Lua. Also the developers of many of these mods have long since left, and ever since the forum-wipe, most of the files from old mods are impossible to get to and might not even exist anymore.

No, that's not what I meant. I meant from loooong ago, not just from build 22 or so. I mean, I love .ini. I can't even use lua, it's just that it allows you to do some cool things .ini cannot.

Yes, but there are more innovative uses of ini in and before B22 than there are now, and now that Lua is around, it makes ini seem like a base, while in fact it is not.

Lua is an new and inferior language due to how it was implemented and you still have to use workarounds.
It just lets you do a couple things ini cannot.

Most B22 mods should work, considering that only reffered content might have been moved around/changed, nothing in the .inis that are outdated.
