Take a look in this thread:
http://forums.datarealms.com/viewtopic.php?f=61&t=18479
It contains a download for the harpoon gun, along with other mods made by numgun.

Kyred made a better one, one that sticks to where you shoot it too.

Wow thanks guys! and num gum comeback are you numgum?

Double post:

and lizard its funny but this day i downloaded that exact mod before reading this :D

Triple post:

and do you think it would be possible to make the harpoon gun stick to anywhere in the body not just the middle section and not make him break into pieces when he dies i hate that!

Holy triplepost! You know, you can edit your posts. Saves on forum space.
And anyways, numgun come back isn't numgun, he's a rabid fan just like you!
For the third question, you'd need to look in the .lua file for the gun. Modify some things, ask the other modders here, they're usually well-versed in .lua.

tl;dr: do not doublepost, even as far as triplepost. It is looked down upon by the moderators.
And try to learn about .ini and .lua modding, it works wonders.
that is all.

Making it stick to anything but the body is extremely hard.
Though cave cricket got it to work in a way.
I'm fairly sure that you could modify the flechette script so it will not explode, but damage and push. Just rip both numgun's and CC's scripts apart and piece them together until it works.

BTW, CC if you are okay with it, could I post it if I got it to work?

P.S. Stop using a smiley for each word your posts contain. :-? :-? :-? :-? :-? :-? :-? :-? :-? :-? kthxbye
EDIT: missed one. Ah that's why your posts never contain more then 10 words.....

Ah, impetuous children.

Anyone had any luck taking the scripts from CaveCricket's flechettes or his Spelunker, and applying them to other mods? I've tried myself, and had no luck whatsoever.
