Post Overpowered mod ideas
So, what TLB and I were doing wasn't able to get completed in time due to reasons outside of our control. (but it will still [probably] get finished, and it will still be awesome)

but in the meantime, we need ideas for ♥♥♥♥ to do for the contest

keep in mind, the deadline is sunday.

Visual or mainly functional ideas? Making something really powerful is easy, but style is difficult and style is more easily obtained through aesthetics.

Make a giant amoeba that grows when it eats things. And it's highly resistant to impulse forces and uneffected by puntures (no wounds).

Make a guy with a chest mounted laser cannon/variety of other weapons which activate on command.
Alternatively, homing mini rocket turret. Or tiny laser drone hive.
Or point defence system that lasers everything that gets too close to you.

Is this what you were thinking?

As for the OP, maybe a dropship with no weapons or cargo bay, but space to mount four units?
And when the units are on board, their GetsHitByMOs is set to 0?

It'd be like a flying bunker.

Not quite.
Anyway, as they said, it has to be makable fairly quickly. A flying bunker would be quite fiddly.

Why not just make a really polished mounted gun or two? that way you can have your

Not necessarily.
Just buff up a regular dropship, figure out the offsets for where you want your people to attach to, and then it's a simple matter of checking for distance and gold dig or whatever, and setting their position to that of the craft, along with setting their GetsHitByMOs to 0.
Simple, in theory, even including the couple of things I've missed out.

Sure, it wouldn't be as polished as it could be, but as a quick n' dirty one day OP thing, it seems viable to me.

I don't know if you were around for this discussion, Grif, but MLC and I met a Creeperzilla one lazy day in Minecraft, perhaps you could make one of them. Simply a large creeper (think the giant zombies of yore in size) that spits regular creepers out it's' mouth, and explodes with an almighty explosion once it reaches you.

Make rockets that shoot rockets that shoot homing missiles which each split into rocket chainsaws. And they all gib recursively.

Awww, I was looking forward to being blown out of the water. :-(

Anyways, a mechanical chicken plucker robot gone haywire, ripping off limbs left and right, and disabling jetpacks through Lua, leaving everyone to either die of blood loss or sit as useless junk.
Never targets the torso or head, though.
Probably invincible, too, for good measure.
