Post subject:  Harvesting roots (or something like that)

Hello, the forum dwellers! I am the "Total n00b" in any lua or just CC modding but I have an idea!
I've seen many things that are useful in gold harvesting, but most of them have to be controlled manually or moved every 15 seconds. So I started to think... And got it! It was influenced by CaveCricket48's "Creeper Vines"... The thing is: some unit that does not move (I'm bad at English) and just create roots beneath in the ground that are searching for some gold and collect it. And roots dies when the "head" unit is dead.
I know, it is possible to do it using "Creeper Vines" as base. But I can't do it because I'm n00b and dummy. And also I should ask CaveCricket48 to use his mod as a base...
So I'm asking you to help me.

This is actually a very nice idea.
It would be cooler if the roots that 'harvested' the gold would be connected to a machine that will spit out gold bricks, so it wouldn't be that easy to collect the gold, because you'll need to do some work loading the gold bricks into a rocket and send them to space.

I actually had an idea like this before I released my Creeper Vines. It would be a bulb-like plant with long roots that go deep into the ground and collect gold. That gold would be pulled up and transfered to the bulb, resulting in the bulb opening and revealing a mound of gold that would grow as more gold was collected.
