Post Tree|Physical Tree
Could someone please make a tree?

Like, this?

You will have to make it an actor, sadly, so make sure it can't move! Or see enemies.
You will have to make it bend-able and snap-able, so make it with a Foot as a base, then leg as a trunk, then head as top of the trunk then make a Attachable hat thing as the leaves.
Don't make it a bunker module!

Example:

I have searched.

AND I HAVE SEEN THE OTHER THREAD: http://forums.datarealms.com/viewtopic.php?f=83&t=10493

SO don't go saying I didn't, some people don't read all the thread. :x

You can have all the cedit. Apart from the idea of how to make it.: )

That wouldn't work too well. It'd just explode/accelerate to warp speed every time something touched it.

it'd almost work if you made the top of the tree the foot, the trunk the leg, and the "root" the body, but there'd still be ♥♥♥♥ up collisions and "almost not work" is a bit of an understatement. You'd be better to try this with a Lua script, but it might be supported as part of the engine at some point if prom wants it enough.

Here's another nice discussion over CC trees.

No one really considered AHuman actors in this thread, mostly because it's not very feasible, and like the other failed methods, could possibly succeed in one way, while certainly failing in other ways.

For example, making it an AHuman actor like this could have the proper segmenting of the tree, with some form of moving joints between segments, but it wouldn't be springy, and all the AI actors would shoot it, and it couldn't be stood on.

I have a feeling that the end result of someone trying to follow your idea would be hilarious... almost enough to make me want to do it...

I don't even understand the appeal of trees.

So, you want a useless piece of scenery that will wiggle around for a few minutes until something inevitably A: lands on it B: blows it up C: crashes through it etc etc etc

♥♥♥♥ doesn't last long in CC, and trees are pointless eye candy that would break the already terrible AI.

Its about making the game world seem more alive, for me. Same reason it'd be pretty awesome to have more wildlife available, even though there's not a chance they'd last long. It'd just make the universe feel deeper.
