Post subject:  Megalith - Heavy gunship/drop pod/brain bunker

I want to make the biggest , strongest super cool gunship drop pod firing brain bunker thing

I want it to be able to launch drop pods with soldiers and weapons . have turrets , a ICBM silo , digging tools

*I want it to be able to build and launch pods with actors and weapons - I am not sure if that is possible
*It should be able to launch a kind of ICBM missile - maybe a flat turret with a giant missile
*It should have a few turrets - missiles grenades and MGs
*I would also like it if it could have like a landing pad where ships can land - not sure if that is possible (may push ship into the ground)
*It must also be you brain bunker meaning if it dies you do
*It should be able to hover in the air on one spot
*Should be able to dig or send down a digging drone

I can do a bit of .ini editing , I am more than willing to learn
Any help will be appreciated and you WILL get credit (Even if its just a turret that fires bullets)(please don't just post turrets)
I suck at spriting , I can't sprite to save my live
I dont know Lua but I will be able to learn it (Exams so will be able to learn it when I'm done )

I know it is a VERY BIG request but a will try to help in any way possible

You can't have a mobile thing that is also a bunker.

You also cannot have landing pads on mobile objects. All of this is basically possible as long as it's a single, immobile bunker module of massive size.

okay no landing pads , can you still put your brain on it ? With like a shield to protect it

Certainly. There are plenty of bunker modules that come with brains. Or rather, I think some bunker modules come as brains. Take AAL's Reactor Core, for example.

You can't have anything moveable be walked on, or something immobile move.

So no landing pads and no bunker , can we still fire drop pods ? I found a mod (fabricator) can we use it to teleport any thing you order into a crate on the Megalith and then fire it like a giant missile up into the air , then it would land any were on the map

Can we make the megalith like a brain bot but instead of a actor a craft ?

It can still be a huge flying fort thingie with turrets and drop pod launchers underneath.
One can actually have docks for rockets like the ones in vanilla content.

So are any of you willing to help (If you are only going to give tips , no problem , I'll make it work) ( but I suck so please help)
I need a lot of sprites and code and I don't know much
I have tried to find out how to make turrets before I posted but I didn't find much
I understand the basics of gibs and TDExplosives , I don't know how much Lua this is going to need

But I will help in any way possible , I want to use it in a mission where the enemy uses it to attack you and you have
to destroy it , so it has to be slow and very powerful

Basically your turrets will be soldiers with guns shaped like turrets and with code to make them fly around next to whatever they're meant to be mounted on.

This sounds very ambitious. But what if when you're cruising around in your huge ride, an AI dropship decides to try and land, and ends up crashing into your ship? Will the dropship come off worst?

Well it shouldn't be too hard to have the dropship come off worse if you make it heavy and with powerful thrusters. Worst comes to worst, you have force dampeners via Lua.

Is that how they always do it ? , the mods that i have seen that have drop ships with turrets and missiles , do they do this ass well or do they have a
different way of doing it

I'm planning on using this in a mission where they attack you with the Megalith , using the drop pods to spawn actors
but for skirmish play we could probably put a giant shield on it that gibs any craft that touches it or something

Yeah, that's how it's done - with actors shaped like turrets being repositioned to follow its mounted object every
