Post Weather in CC.
I was playing cortex command one day then like a ten ton brick it hit me. What if cortex command added weather to some its maps. Though different weather for different terrain. Example, Rain for grassy areas, snow for well snowy places, and meteor showers in space, Also sand storms for Desert maps.
This is an idea I though of but i'm wondering if anyone can make it?

Tim's weather is meant for mod makers, not to be used as an actual mod. I've been thinking about more... unorthodox weather (Raining shrapnel mwahaha), and I agree that it really could improve CC. Rain, Snow, etc could all add atmosphere to the game, no pun intended.

Ya but i'm talking about a more true-er type.
Example, say you play at a snow map and a blizzard is going on. For every 10 seconds equal 1-2 hp loss unless out of the storm. Another one is a map with rain, thunder bolts can have potential to kill an enemy unit but the strikes are random and rare. Also the rain can reduce you sight-of-range.

This would be totally awesome! And, if it was possible for guns to jam, it would be so awesome if like when it was a sandstorm, you gun would jam alot, and in snow, your weapon could freeze, and in rain it could do something else really awesome!

I agree that would be a good idea, but while this idea still fresh in my mind.
For space: What if when ever a meteor strike where to strike there would be something in red letter come up and say: INCOMING METEOR STORM HEAD OF THE CLOSEST COVER

I think that could be used in snowstorms and sandstorms aswell, because those would be quite dagenrous too! (Like, sandstorm-you cant breathe right, too much sand, and in snowstorm, hypothermia)

True that would be a good idea also during blizzards and sand storms, your visiblity could be reduced. Also jamming of the guns could work only if they were low grade guns such as the AK 47, and the basic SMG and Shotgun.
Also while im typing this the weather could effect ships aswell when they are landing or leaving like their engines could malfuction during a snow storm.

Jamming of guns aren't currently possible and if it were, AK47s would be the last gun to jam.

Jamming guns is completely possible with Lua. But like Lizard said, AK-47s probably will not be jamming that often, if at all.

Damn right, that's one of the reasons the AK is so popular, you can't kill that thing even if you try.
(Well, you probably can, but...uh...shut up.)

Weather, how to:

1. Make a few MO's for whatever kind of weather you want (snow, rain, wind? etc.)
2. Make an AEmitter
3. Place the AEmitter at twice the height of the scene
4. Divide scene length by 10 and add an emitter at each interval
5. Run scene and tweak emitter to your needs/wants
6. ???
7. PROFIT
