L4D infected weapons...I need Help to complete my mod.
Ok im going to start off saying im making a l4d mod from templates and some without them. Sooooo what i need is the tanks cement throw! Its quite simple of a request i think. I dont know if you can do it im just in need and not really good at lua or coding so im asking for your help. Credit will be given for the Cement throw!!!

Well, a cheap solution would be to autoequip the Tank with a rocket launcher of sorts, and have the rockets look like hunks of cement, while making the rocket's exhaust and jets invisible. Or perhaps do a grenade launcher along the same lines, to get a nice parabolic arc.
Of course, I doubt that's what you wanted, but if you have nothing else, there's that. Three cheers for cheap ♥♥♥♥.

Hm.... Would you want the tank to pick up the cement and then throw it, or what? Oh, and how exactly would it look weird? (I agree, but I may be able to suggest solutions to specific issues)

Well i like that idea but id rather have him throw the chunks not shoot them. But in my case i guess we could do something like imp-corp and make him have cement and throw that.

Maybe a TDExplosive with a high mass sprited to look like a piece of cement. That would probably be the easiest way.

Basically find the code for the stone in ronin.rte and paste it in your mod, increase the mass of the explosive in the code, make a cement sprite, and finally change all your filepaths and indexes are changed. Try and do this by yourself and if you have problems post them and I will help you solve them.

Alternately, you could make his arms a gun, make the magazine look like a chunk of cement (ideally the same sprite as the projectile) then, when you fire the gun, it initiates an animation of him throwing the cement. Alternately, yeah, I like the idea of having a chunk of cement as a TD. However, that means other actors can also use it in the exact same manner, which could look odd.

Well, yeah; I figured that would happen. If anyone's seen the Zombbots, that's the ideal. When the weapon is dropped for whatever reason, it disappears, and reappears in the hands of the user. I mean, we can't have the tank lose his arms. That could be awkward.

Another added benefit of it being a TDExplosive is that there is no need to make a throwing animation sprite.

You could just make it so that it explodes on pretty much any impact, is incredibly heavy and give the actor a script that gives him an infinite supply of them.
