Butterfly knife
Yeah. I wanted a butterfly knife. I wanted to know if it was possible to make an animation of it opening right when you switch to it. Here's how it opens. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GIe1hBne95c Even if it is, though, I doubt anyone will want to try and make it so just knowing if it's possible is fine by me.

Re: Butterfly knife
I'd be glad to make it for you, granted suggestions on the animation from more experienced modders and a couple images from you to give me an idea of how exactly you want it to look. I love butterfly knives, and would be glad to help.

Re: Butterfly knife
If you checked that the actor being hit was the same HFlipped value as the firing actor and that the actor being hit is in front of the firing actor then you could make an instant-kill backstab.

Re: Butterfly knife
That would be tight. I just got a butterfly knife so I have an idea of how I want it to look. It would be hard to see but this would be tight. http://www.bladeplay.com/item--Pharaoh- ... nife--4987

Re: Butterfly knife
*whistles* That is a lovely knife. I've been trying to find a nice balisong for myself, so I'm envious. Allstone, nice TF2 reference, and also a great suggestion. On topic now, sounds good; I'll see what I can do with spriting a little bit.

Re: Butterfly knife
Actually, I have a different type of knife. The black part is purple on mine. But I'm going to oxidize it and have it look just like that.

Re: Butterfly knife
I'd use those sprites but I don't know anything about coding or animations . Also I think the blade needs to be black.

Yeah. That's good. 411570N3 wrote: If you checked that the actor being hit was the same HFlipped value as the firing actor and that the actor being hit is in front of the firing actor then you could make an instant-kill backstab. That would be awesome. Maybe also make an alternate fire to slit throats too?
