I'm requesting the Shock Rifle from UT3.

Heres how it looks like:

A slomo video of the effects:

How the shock combo works:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VrxXPJiB ... re=related

So this is how it would work ingame:
The shock rifle fires 2 different rounds depending if the sharpaim is active.
If simply firing without sharpaim, the rifle fires a slow moving orb of energy that will cause a small explosion when it hits something.
If sharpaim is active when firing, the weapon fires a very fast precise energy beam instead and creates a very tiny blast when it hits something.

These two modes can be combined by firing an orb and then using the beam to "detonate" it. This is called the "shock combo" that was seen in the 2nd video. If the player manages to hit the orb with a beam, it will cause the orb to create a much larger and more powerful explosion and a lingering 3-second vortex that will float in midair where the orb was "detonated". This vortex will suck in any people, items and maybe particles with intense force until it dissappears, scattering all the sucked items all over the place.

EDIT: I can do the sprites. Just PM me if you're interested.

Me and CC48 were actually eventually working on a slow UT99 classic weapons pack.

Very slowly.

Already have a sprite for the '99 ASMD Shock Rifle as seen in the Facing Worlds thread.

Honestly haven't started anything official code-wise. But you know. It'll get there, eventually.

Here's a repost of the image from the Facing Worlds thread for quick reference:

Nice progress, the actor looks like real hunks but I hope the shock rifle sprite gets improved,
you all have the talent necessary to kill us with shocking sprites...

Sounds cool, but how will you do the firing modes? Will you be able to do the shock combo and will you make it have a short miniature singularity left from the blast?

My request still stands and now I'm willing to make sprites for this gun and all related effects.

I'm thinking about making the multi-firing mode work the same way as my Fire Rod, so the beam shot will be a tap of the fire button and the plasma ball will be fired by holding the fire button for around 0.25 seconds. That way you can fire any shot whether sharp aiming or not.

For sprites, I already have one gun sprite (shading required, but it's good), just need to actually get to modding.

Edit: I'll take any effect sprites, however, and release the Shock Rifle as a standalone until it gets put with LFOW's pack and updated with his sprites, so the public can enjoy it without waiting too long.

Edit 2: Actually, I'll take any sprites.

I made a preset module with all the required sprites, any modder may use to create the shock rifle:
