Mining gold, repairing bunker walls, cleaning gibs, looting guns, setting up mine-fields, kamikaze, rescuing stuck actors. These are not the tasks that should be left for your slow and clumsy actors(basically anything other than combat). Basically, I want an airborne drone that: -stays in the air -is about the size of an actor's head, -is small, agile, can get out of danger quickly -can be equipped with different tools(diggers, concrete sprayers, bombs) for different situations -weakly armored, for balance It will be manually controlled, of course, but think of how much more efficient it can do these things than a regular actor. It can also be equipped with a gravitational hook, to transport dreadies, tanks, turrets, or any other ground-only units across the battlefield! Think of da possibilities! Optional stuff: There could be pre-equiped versions of it. It could also be accompanied by a small holding bay to station it in the base for quick deployment. Also, small passage modules for it to reach different parts of the base or map safely and quickly. |

How's this for size:  It's going to be a modification of the assault drone thingies in Lua Guns. I'll try to implement as many features as I can. Edit: Okay, the drone is pretty done now, albeit the sprites are a bit shitty. The thing is a dropship with an attached AHuman turret. It has to be ordered in a dropship, and the turret will have in it's inventory whatever stuff it was ordered with. Now we just need some tools and weapons and such to go with it. |

Size is perfect. But it being a dropship, will it have aimable tools? And it may auto scuttle when stationed in your base. |

Its tools are aimable and its autoscuttle is not a common occurence if it's based on the assault drone. |

In any case, thank you very much for making this  Tools: cement gun, yes. A gravity hook that can lift items, and a mine-layer. |

It comes with whatever it was bought with. The concrete gun is easy to make, the gravity hook needs some tinkering with. Though I have a rather good idea on how it should be done. The minelayer I have already done too. |

This looks awesome  I like the idea of a gravity hook cause on more than one occasion i have ended up burning my own solders face off with my thrusters when i try and get close to pick them up

I'm back from being away for a week, and I'll start working on this again. I'll use the grappling guns made by Roon3, Kyred and Stophe as a basis for the gravity hook. |
