I like making Mods, but I never seem to strike inspiration unless there is a mod contest happening currently. I don't know Lua yet, so I want to see how far I can go with simple .ini modding. Suggestions? |

It isn't a requirement to make a good mod. Sparkle Magic wasn't introduced that long ago, and people went well far and beyond what was thought possible then. My Zeppelin when entered in the mod contest lacked any Sparkle Magic whatsoever. I'll be adding some to spruce it up, but it's not to say Sparkle Magic-less mods aren't worth making. |

asura wrote: You can do the original factions of CC see the Wiki Just because we can't wait, but I highly recommend you make unique ideas. It's hard to give suggestions if it's so open-ended. At least tell us what you have in mind, a recreation of things from other games? Innovative stuff? Or just a simple new faction? P.S. Check: viewtopic.php?f=61&t=11791 to see how damn far the "ye' old hacky" way can go. |

If so MkfShard make a 1700-1800's mod with Musketeers and Grenadiers from Cossaks-The art of War. Here is a photo: http://images.yandex.ru/yandsearch?p=10&ed=1&text=Cossacks&spsite=001-294355&img_url=www.wargamer.com%2Ffiles%2Fnews%2Ff1416_coss_13.jpg&rpt=simage |

How about a turret faction? 1. Like, guys with diggers and pistols only, who mainly try to save up enough gold for grenades that gib into turrets? 2. Or trees. No dropships, no gold digging. You start with one big 9999 health tree, and it can throw seeds which spawn into different trees. Slowly you spread across the map like a fungus, until you reach the other guy's base. |

Hey, I'll sprite (in a mediocre kind of way...) if anyway wants to code it. |

The ACrabs can go somewhere, plant seeds/morph into a turret. |

Perhaps some limited ACrab use would be good. The idea, as-is, would b extremely vulnerable to enemy diggers... |

Mobile Suits. At Strike Raven scale, preferably. |

I'm not sure how viable this is, or wether or not sparkle magic would help, but I've just been made aware of the "hot drop" scene from that final fantasy movie. I've just jury rigged a grenade to explode in a puff of foam, but I know better can be done than my poor skill will allow, is anyone up for the challenge? Either way if you can make it you'll get my dl (edit) I just searched, and the closest I came was the "goo gun", so no, it has not been done Also, a smartgun from aliens with tracking bullets would be somewhat win ( and that hasn't been done either) |

How about creating an actor that loos like a truss bridge? No animations required. Figure anyone can walk on top until it was damaged and 'dies'. _____ /\/\/\/\ -- TAZ |
