Re: Metroid
Urgh.. Downtime. My computer decided to crap out on me last night. I should be able to save everything, but it's gonna be a helluva process to get all this stuff working again.

Re: Metroid
I just had an awesome idea... What if the killed samus gibbed a zero suit samus? You could have an "Explosion" that looked like the suit bursting off.
Just an idea...(and, yes, I could get the zero suit sprites for you)

Re: Metroid
I have numerous sprite sheets from Spriters' Resource of various iterations of the Power Suit, and a sheet of Zero Suit, as well as various sprites for various weapons. I had intended to do a lot of what you gentlemen are doing myself, but chances are you'll all do a better job. Anyway, yeah, I like Tearagion's idea; could it alternatively be possible to attach her armor as a crap ton of attachables, so that the armor can be shot off piece by piece? Also, if there's anything I can do to help the project along, I'd be glad to help.

Re: Metroid
I was actually already thinking about that. I can do the Zero Samus Sprites as soon as my Wacom is up again, but feel free to throw in anything you have! I was thinking that when Samus ran out of health, there should be a small explosion- little plasma beams or something- and Zero Suit Samus appears with not but a blaster and maybe some sort of grenade. I'm scared to mention that I think a scene would be cool, too, but that's more up to the coders than I, the lowly sprite maker. Bringing it to life is the complicated part. Also, if anyone feels they can do the sprites better than I can, I won't stand in their way, but I figured if everything was shared this could be a pretty epic mod.

I am providing sprites for none but im not up for the actor sheets, you could do that as for i am doing small sprites like the metroids ( Finished) and i will work on the weapon sprites too.

Re: Metroid
I made the ice weapon and its really cool, you spray ice which set in mid air then after 5 seconds it starts to melts away. I made it more of a defensive weapon but it is really useful such as a quick shield or wall when reloading or running for your life.
I'm gonna make the flamer turn the actor into ash when they burn up also.
I am just finishing up the ball bomb launcher with metroid goo - (sticks to stuff)
And I still have to do the Charge shot and wide beam.

Two computer crashes in a row. My goal is a complete Samus sheet by the end of the week, though.

Re: Metroid
I can attempt to acquire, if you so desire, the space pirate sprites.
Glad to hear about this update!
One question, are you going to make the conventional beams and your new-fangled beams or just the new-fangled ones? (i.e. you made the ice beam a sprayer, however in the games it is a gun-like weapon) I ask because you don't really need all the beams to be gun-like weapons, but it is more "authentic".

Re: Metroid
Awesome. If we decide to include Space Pirates, I'll definitely make use of those, thank you. I'm almost done with Samus, and I'm going to do a few re-colors and tweak for her other costumes as well as make about 4 or 5 different helmets and see which one people like best. Until then, here's something kinda cool: http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb2 ... /Img04.jpgEdit: Had enough to spare time today to hammer out the legs and arms. I don't know how the beam canon arm thing is going to work yet (i.e. if it's going to be a weapon you can pick up or if it's PART of her, or what have you), so for the time being it is unattached. Started working on different helmet looks and no-helmet Samus (thought it might be interesting). Next up is suit types, power suit, variasuit, phazon suit, I haven't gotten to play Corruption yet, but the PED suit ( http://metroid.wikia.com/wiki/PED_Suit) looks pretty awesome.
