The first idea is simple enough. Just make a held device/weapon (food or w/e) that has a script that when fired or w/e spawns a particle with a script run on it to delete the weapon and give the actor holding it a set amount of health back. You should check some of the medipack mods around for reference.
As for the second, two main questions. First, why would you want fake gold on the planet, as it's a pain to get real gold already, and secondly, why would mining said fools gold deduct from your real gold? To use a real-world example: If I go out and find 4 dollars on the street, and they turn out to be fake, I don't have 4 real dollars taken out of my bank account...

Well you could probably easily make fake gold buried around that isn't actually worth anything, but actively making it subtract money might be difficult. EDIT: Actually, does negative density work?

I though it would give a bigger challenge or you could make a map that has barely any gold and its fake. Its a good idea i think because it makes the game harder.+

so im back! WAZZUP FORUMS!!!:) but i made a map thats a small jungle but has HUGE trees to climb in and hide.
