I was just donated some kickawesome sprites by NaXx and Gotcha! inc. so I'm going to work on it now. Not that anyone will pay attention now that Grif and TLB have stolen everyone's thunder :P

So I'm thinking of making a sine wave cannon thingy, but I forgot the necessary trig to rotate points on a 2d plane.

Is this right?

if it it's a sine wave why do you need cosine ???

just do a sine function for Y with a constant X velocity

technically you'll also need to rotate it to the desired angle, which is somewhat more complicated (PM me for a quick script)

That was the rotation section of the whole deal, and I got it down. I'm going to add glows to it to make it look prettier then release.
