playing without setting up a base leaves you with no sense of urgency or purpose, so it's only really fun for about 2-3 minutes.

Says you guys. Bases make ♥♥♥♥ boring for me.

I can play with a brain up in the sky and play for a straight hour on the same map.

Best matches I've had have been about 3-4 hours long.

i remember back in the old days when CC was chibi i'd waste an entire day playing a single skirmish. this was before dropships automatically gibbed. by the end there was so much junk covering the level it reached the ceiling. then later builds came out and CC became less stable.

with b26 being incredibly stable for me i figure if i ever get back on uppers again i will waste days playing a single skirmish game. i've already played games hours long. the removal of the K/D meter on the screen really removes something from the experience though even if there are modules you can place that keep track of kills and deaths, it's just not the same.

someone needs to reintroduce a HUD K/D meter.
