   |   Premade factionHere is something that many people with no coding knowledge will like: an easily changeable premade faction. Let me explain in more detail. You give us a normal mod that adds a new faction containing 5 or 6 bodies, 2 or 3 guns and 1 craft, and a .txt with instructions on how to change the hp, body names, faction name, logo, gun strength, eccetera. I personally want this to make all my Comic characters

   |   Re: Premade factionTo be honest the factions are easily changeable, Just open up a ini and read through it and apply logic's and common sense to it.and to be honest that applies to EVERY PIECE of code in existence. the problem comes to creating code from scratch with no base about.

Although i may get around and do this for the lazy people such as myself and just do it so more mods can me made since lately there's a decrease in mods However i do understand why.

   |   Re: Premade factionboth are still simple. just hard to explain with my current problems on my mind, so give me a hour or so(enough time for me to finish a beta of Green dummies if not i'll have it done for tomorrow) and i'll make a very fast template with Zero sprites in it.(cause im too damn lazy to make my own) unless someone else post a detail way to do so here.

   |   Re: Premade factionMost of the stuff in the wiki is outdated, one of the articles was last edited in 2010. The reason it's outdated is because it's outdated and no-one uses it :[Aaaaaaaand I just noticed how old this is lol

There haven't been many changes on modding, the only changes have been just some files moved around and some weapons renamed. And some lua functionalities added, but you don't need lua to code a faction. Using the wiki is not a bad idea, it's just slightly incomplete, but there are many tutorials in here to create anything.

   |   Re: Premade factionOk, I don't know what you think is not useful, was it my advice or the wiki?
Both are useful enough if you know what you want to do.

I learnt everything I know from the wiki, a couple of tutorials, asking people around and experimenting. In fact, after you code something once, you'll be able to code anything as much times as you want, it's not hard, and you don't need to depend on the wiki or tuts to begin coding.

 Really.
