Just a word from the wise, it doesn't encourage people to do this if you end it with 'Good luck'. This idea would be incredibly hard to pull off, I think, and you're offering no real help. Maybe post some brain or guts sprites, to get the ball rolling?

I would but I would probably just be a hindereance as last time I tried spriting it came out horribly and I have no idea how to use Lua. I'll have a go but
I don't really expect anything decent.

I wish the colour palette had more colours.

I'm failing to understand what part about this idea is not currently possible with the existing gib system and/or animations.

I can currently blow out an actors brain just fine, not sure what game you're playing.

Also, Lua is not an acronym and thus doesn't require capitalization.

Well an expansion on the current wound system, like maybe actors could have their legs or arms broken or if a zombie gets shot in their guts things like intestines could come out. However I can see what you mena and I'll see what I can do with just attachables.

Not sure how you would do arms/legs being broken. In CC broken generally means gibbed, but you may be able to force attach a broken limb version attachable that is effectively just an aesthetic limb, and when it is destroyed could gib the regular gibs of said limb.

As for zombie guts, you could make the torso of a zombie be an animation of a zombie who looks like his belly has been ripped open with guts out, and attach a 'belly and fat' part over the top of it, concealing the guts until the torso attachable has been destroyed, making the BreakWound for said attachable spew blood, guts, gibs, w/e you wish, really. You can get really creative when it comes to breaking apart things in CC.

It's kinda already been done... although I can't remember who by, when, or what it was called.

I think it was a soldier, maybe a zombie, but it had an absurd amount of attachables and you could blast off bits of its head and torso, as it survived being torn apart. The head broke down into layers, down to a brain stem, if I remember correctly?

But yeah, a fat zombie with a gut attachable that could be eviscerated with guts pouring out would be pretty bitchin. I've actually mentioned the idea several times before myself, but I've never bothered to actually make it myself or request it.

I seem to remember klone soccer being what you're looking for. I forget who made it though.

yo dawgs there's some of this in the new zombies, but I'm being sensible with attachables to avoid MOID rape so there's only really the guts falling out thing. It happens on skinny zombies, but it's a lot harder to get the hit on the gut attachable for them. obviously there's also the usual cortex limb/headsplosions etc. I'm still working on getting the wounds sufficiently gory without making them lag inducing, but yeah, i suppose if you want something you can pretty much literally cut into tiny living pieces go with the soccer klone, otherwise hold on and you'll get your crazy splattery zombies soon enough.

When it comes to CC, Geti may just as well be called the god of gore, cause he makes headshots ten times the fun.
