Artist looking to "enslave" himself
I'm kind of new here, at least on the forum. I've lurked for at least a year now, but i think i should help contribute. i can't sprite too well, and i don't now the first thing about code, but I'm a pretty damn decent artist. you could compare my art to the opening scene on the data realms page for cortex command. i can do that pretty well at least. so if anybody needs sketches to work off of or emblems and the like, i would like to start contributing. i hope this is in the right section...

There's an 'artist for hire' thread in mod making. When someone posts something needed to be drawn there, artists can choose to take the job or not according to interest.
Do go check it out. Though it doesn't always guarantee a job.

Re: Artist looking to "enslave" himself
thanks for the tip on the artist for hire thread. alright here are some examples. they aren't really pertaining to the topic of the game, but these old studies are all i have right now. recently lost a lot on my computer and just re installed my tablet yesterday. that's why these aren't scanned, because i normally work on the tablet. and as for spriting, it is a now go right now. but maybe in the future. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2506/402 ... 1d17e2.jpghttp://farm3.static.flickr.com/2547/402 ... 9214e7.jpghttp://farm3.static.flickr.com/2604/402 ... dc0071.jpg

This thread inspired me to make this thread. You're quite a good artist and there's no reason you should have to waste time and skill mastering an unmasterable medium.

Do go check it out. Though it doesn't always guarantee a job. This is the thread he (I assume, both on pronoun and topic) speaks of. It is almost exactly what you seek.
