Hey. I really want to learn Lua, but I can't find any Cortex Command specific tutorials. So, yeah, how do I like make the Lua files and where do they go first of all. And then how do I learn what to put into those files?

Thanks. I know this is immesnly newby, but you know. Thanks.

Start with regular lua tutorials.

Then learn about the binding interface.

This is a great place to start.

What's the binding interface? Sorry if that is a really retarded question, but I am kind of new to Lua. And is it alright to learn a scripting language through a game, then leanr a programming language for general stuff?

First learn the sintax, then read through the CC specifc documentation so you know what to do with it.

So, does that answer my latest question about the bindings, and all the other crap I asked? And where can I apply the syntax, where can I input basic Lua without having to use a game? Must it be linked with another language like C++?

Ignore the rest of these suggestions. Besides that luadocs link. That one is good.

Learning lua is best through a game because it's a SCRIPTING LANGUAGE.

Learning Lua isn't best through cortex command at the moment. CC's implementation is varied and pretty disgusting. Try learning it through a game like love or garrysmod or crysis or something(Only until you get the ropes and basic syntax down), then take a look at other people's mods, try things out to learn how they work, and you'll eventually have it down pat.
