Hidden vars found!
From what I know, there are accessable tables named like: AHumans MOSRotatings AEmitters
Oh, I found these while setting MovableMan to nil and looking at the error dumps. Running table.foreach show at the end of the dump that I can access the functions used in presets.

Re: Better way of going though lists.
So I could say do a string find on aemitters named "Dent Metal"? Does this work as another way to work around attachables?

Re: Hidden vars found!
Apparently, while doing some testing, this only shows preset functions. I'll still be doing some hackish ness to find a solution, seeing as there still are hidden tables.
Anybody know how to expand the part where lua says the code that caused the error? EDIT: Damm, that part's hard coded, according to the lua ref manual. It's up to the game to decide how much of an error is shown. EDIT2: Well, looks like I found something interesting. This only tracks existing scripted objects. EDIT3: Can't seem to make anything useful. For reference, I have some console dumps.

Re: Hidden vars found!
Why can't the devs just tell us this stuff? Reminds me of the days of Tribes, where no one knew where the source was and all the modders had to rely on hacky methods to find out how the game worked.

Re: Hidden vars found!
Data's source code comment posting bot has some problems.

Re: Hidden vars found!
I think it's more that Data's source code commenting is somewhat outdated with the actual functions.
