Hej Folks, at first i´ve to apologize for my bad english, i´m from germany, and i´ve never been that much into english at school - my grammar should not be the finest
I´ve got a very frustrating problem, played Cortex Command on 1280x720 with 0.16 Delta Time on my Old PC smoothly (about 100+fps) ( Core 2 Duo 8300 at 3 Ghz, 4 Gb of Ram, GTX 260)
now i installed the latest build and tried it with all my favorite mods on my new pc (which has definitly more processing power) and it runs much slower - same delta time, same resolution - about 30fps.
My new pc´s specs:
Core i7 2600k @ 3,4 Ghz (Not much overlocking there, but every single core of it should be definitly faster than the Core2Duo)
12 Gigs of DDR3 Ram
GTX570 1,5Gb
SSD 250GB Intel510
I tried some solutions:
turning off all CPU power-saving features like speedstep,eist etc. - does not fix the problem
Running it in window mode - does not fix the problem
running it with higher delta time - 0.02 to 0.04 does not fix the problem either
runnig it in real time/timescaling off - does not fix the problem
runnig it without mods in a clean install - does not fix the problem
the only two thing that fixes the problem for a few seconds:
a. switching to the desktop while playing in fullscreen, than switching back from the desktop - now the game runs smoothly with about 200fps+
b. set the game to run just on one core
but these "fixes" last just for a few seconds in game - then it gets slower till it´s back at 30fps. This happens even on blank maps with just one or two actors.
Hope someone can help me fix that problem.
I don´t know if it matters - but my TFT-Screen runs at 120hz, maybe the game got a problem with that?
