Hi, Im a HUMBLE BUNDLE purchase'r. The build is up to date on the humble page, but whenever i install the latest build it is not adding the new features/fixes its like reverting to my old version. Im kinda computer savvy, I have tried everything that I can think of, so maybe im not so:) Please help as im sure this is a simple fix.

I'm having this problem. I'm an old player (bought it back in build 13), and I have B26 at home. However, I've been trying to install Cortex Command on a different computer to show it to a friend and the website will only download the build 23 installer.

I seem to remember you had to go somewhere else to download the latest versions now after Data Realms changed their DRM restrictions, but I don't remember where it is or how to get it. Both me and my friend thought there was some bug with the website at first, or the installer, but it's definitely just downloading B23 and nothing else. The game accepts my email/license key when I use it though.

Ok, let me give you the low-down.

Question 1: Do you have a licensing key?
Yes: Go to http://www.licensing.datarealms.com and enter the e-mail and key you have. All the latest versions from now on will be posted here.
No: Continue to question 2.

Question 2: Are you a humble indie bundle purchaser?
Yes: Download the latest version from your humble indie bundle downloads page, unless you are running linux, in which case the latest build has not yet been put up for you, but we recommend running the windows version in wine anyway.
No: Continue to question 3.

Question 3: Have you paid for the game?
Yes: Somehow, you've misplaced your key, be it your HIB or your licensing key. If the former, you'll have to go through HIB's procedures to relocate it, we can't help you here. If the latter, send an e-mail to licensing@datarealms.com and scancode will be happy to help (it is his job after all).
No: Well then buy it you silly! We're not giving this much awesome away for free!

1 . Yes I am a HIB purchaser. The download page says that it is the latest build but on install it it still b23...
2 . When I go to data realms' site and download the 5min trial version, it is up to date!
3 . I speak for all HIB purchsers when i says this, NO KEYS were ever given out to us!?
4 . I will try HIB's side of support to try and figue out what is going on with the install file:)

Im not sure if the "keys" were given out in the HIB #2?
I acquired Cortex Command in HIB #3 as i contributed a fair amount to developers:)
So im not sure if this is my proble why i dont have a key for CC.

The 6min trial actually is a pretty old version, it's B23 and the newest is B26.
HIB has the newest versions for Mac and Windows.

HIB purchasers do not have keys, those are only for non-HIB purchasers.
I don't know how you're getting b23 from the HIB page, because when I go there and download the file, it's a file named "cortex_command-b26-win32.exe", which is the newest version.

This file is the same no matter where you get it, and you do not need licensing keys to play it. Those keys are only for downloading the game anymore, and you enter it as your password with your purchasing email as your username at http://licensing.datarealms.com/licensing/

@xJACKETx: What exactly have you done to attempt to update? And what features are you looking for that are not present? Perhaps we can approach this from that angle instead of the more general advice angle.

Hey again. Well my HIB page does say that the Cortex files were updated on the 16.9.11 so it is the b26 files.
I uninstalled v.b23 and then download the new version (b26). The installation process is successful.
When running cortex command, nothing has changed. ie... the hearts displaying your hp, heavy brain bot model, map's = pointy mountain and many others... as far as i can see its still b23.

I download from Data realms website to see if the trail version would work for me? and is says b23.exe so now im really confused?

Well somehow when you uninstall b23 and install b26 you're not getting rid of the files. Tried installing to a different location and running the .exe directly?
