I just bought Cortex Command, but can't get it to work.

As I read here the registration key needs to be in this Format:
AAA-AAAA-AAAA-AAAA

But I only got a gift code in this format:
AAAAAA-AAAAAA-AAAAAA-AAAAAA-AA

Excerpt from the email I got:


This is not working, because the game tells me that the key is wrong.

The mail also tells me that I can print a nice license card here:
http://licensing.datarealms.com

But if I try to use my gift code to register, the email I get contains a link for activation. This link gives me another error:


After resending the email I got another error:


Something seems to be badly ♥♥♥♥ up. How can I play the game now?
Makes the buying experience really frustrating.

If you've downloaded the newest version, you don't need to have a key at all (and you might want to try reinstalling if The key in the licensing thread is for people who want to play versions between b19(?) and b23. B24 and 25 have no DRM whatsoever, meaning no keys. I'm not sure what the purpose of the new keys are, but it's not for putting into the game.

EDIT: To be perfectly clear, if you can download b24 or b25, don't worry about keys at all. If you have b23 or lower, input the email and code contained within this thread.

Well, that's pretty much it. Supporting the devs!

That's really the purpose of paying for anything, trading your money to someone for a product you want. If the product is already made, then you're paying so that you may get future products of similar quality.
