i started the game, went full screen, and my screen went black i could hear the intro but could not see anything.
i reinstalled it, still blackscreen
i even tried changing my screen resolution.
are there any engines, or maybe special programs i need?

It didn't work in full screen, but did you try running it in no-full screen?

i can't change it back to not fullscreen, i can't see the menu to change the setting either.

Did you get into fullscreen with alt+enter? Well, press those again when cortex command is running again, that should change it back to no-fullscreen.

Well, just set it to 1280x800.

I'm not sure what would be the problem.
