 CC just won't start. Cortex Command just won't start when I double-click. Nothing happens at all. Any ideas?

If you use Linux/Mac try running it from command line and show us the output.
You could also do so under windows, but using cmd is sort of painful....

Re: CC just won't start. @Duh102: Nada. No Task Manager item. I use Vista, which is probably the problem. I need to look into a new computer...

The game just doesn't like me, I guess.

Also ctrl-shift-escape works in vista, iirc.

Re: CC just won't start. All I can think of is COMODO's Defense+.
If you have that on, disable it(not add a trust rule, disable).
But I think they fixed that in an update.

Re: CC just won't start. @mail2345 I have Spyware Doctor, Malwarebyte's Anti Malware, and Advanced SystemCare. I don't think any of those are the problem...

Re: CC just won't start. I had the exact same problem. I'm running the game on Vista and when I tried to run it, nothing happened. The process appeared for a second in the task manager. I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it in safe mode. After installing, I tried running the game in safe mode. This time it gave me an error message and crashed. I was ready to give up, but after rebooting my computer, the game just started normally. Ever since then the game has worked just fine.

Re: CC just won't start. Since I last looked at this thread, I have reinstalled it three times on my computer and twice on my external hard drive. I have installed it as an Admin in both locations. Nothing is working. I'm just going to give up and wait for Build 24.

C:\Program Files\Data Realms\Cortex Command
And it still won't run.
