Does anyone know if Xfire game support will ever be implemented into CC? I think that it would attract a few more players if it were compatible with Xfire. It sure would compel me to play it a lot more =)

Why, just why, we had this topic before.

What would it add!??!

There's no multiplayer and what would XFire accomplish that any normal instant messaging program or plugin cannot do [eg. irc.]

Calm down dragon, last time I saw this was probably a year ago.
Honestly, XFire is good at slowing down games, and CC is not meant to, nor will it ever, have an online multiplayer component. So having something like XFire, which is primarily pointless for CC and will only slow it down, just doesn't make any sense.

Quick answer: Probably not.
Longer answer: Steam support is rumored, who knows if it'll turn out.

And online multiplayer component would be greated but the only thing is the engion still needs alot of work before it could deal with something like that. but the online multiplayer that was created last year worked fine but...many things have to be done before Data would even added something like that to CC.

Whatever you just said, it's probably not right. Online multiplayer is a whole different issue, and the online multiplayer mod is about as close to true Cortex online play as a mod for GMod to turn everyone into Minecraft characters would be close to Minecraft.

The issue is XFire support, which is a game statistics and messaging tool.

I know that CC multiplayer will never be put into the game, but it would be nice to be able to talk with my friends instead of us shutting each other out every time we play CC.

When I saw this thread I was already hitting caps lock, ready to give a preach about how CC does not use Graphics cards and how it certainly wouldn't use 2.

THE OTHER XFIRE.

On topic I can't add much more to this conversation, you might wanna give skype a try though.

Use skype, gtalk, anything.
You do not need xfirez.

Mumble and IRC is all you need.
Tunngle is useful too if you need a VPN program that's free and better than Hamachi.

I like Xfire, and my friend won't get anything else.
