I was just wondering if it is possible to find version 23 anywhere? I have purchased the game but v24 seems to crash alot, freeze up or just act up in general on me... I have heard that v23 is alot less buggy than 24, is it possible to get it? |

If you bought Cortex through the HIB then you will not be able to remove the time limit with a registration key, but the downloads on the main download page are still b23. If you're looking for the windows release, here's a direct link. Mac release here, and b24 is the first linux release. |

Yeah I got it through the HIB.. so to get the full version of b23 I would have to buy it? |

If unregistered it works for six minutes when not playing the tutorial mission, then you die. |

B23 and B24 are really pretty much the same, but B24 has some bugfixes and different content. It's not going to make much of a difference if you're new to the game - whoever told you B24 has more bugs is wrong. |

This is due to the mission scripts themselves. Modded missions should not have the same trouble. |

Either you're using the Linux version, or it's your computer causing them. I noticed a decrease in crashes and lockups on my machine. |

CC has an issue which causes it to freeze arbitrarily, it occurs to the majority of users on Windows. B23 was /never/ reported to do this. I think you need to take a look around this section if you disagree? It's quite obvious that it is a blatant issue, and saying it's related to hardware is a completely invalid response when it is occurring across varying configurations, in different ways. B24 crashes a lot. It's common knowledge by now. |

B23 crashed for me on occasions. B24 crashes on less occasions. Unless Data's using the same computer as me, I highly doubt this is a global issue. |

B23 never, ever crashed without reason for the majority of users. if you doubt it is a global issue, how about opening your eyes and reading the section? there are at least 3 topics just scrolling down the first page complaining about crashes, with many people agreeing read anyone talking about it on other forums. somethingawful. facepunch. literally everyone complains about crashes you not being able to look around doesn't mean the problem does not exist give me a VNC to your computer and I'll believe B24 doesn't crash often for you |

When I say B23 crashed occasionally, of course that was with reason, because if you play CC for more than 30 minutes straight, you're bound to have a reason. MOID count, particle count, glows, scripts, whatever. The same is true of B24. The fact that more people are having issues may be true, but there are more people playing now than there has been for the past one-and-a-half years. It's different. Some people are bound to have issues where they didn't before, and some are going to have it run smoother than ever. I don't think there are more people with errors than without, because those without errors have no need to tell anyone. |

Roast Veg, you are talking out of your ass. I haven't played B24 enough to know myself, but I haven't had it crash on me. However, I wouldn't be surprised if something like the limb rotation added a random crash like what was in B22. Roast Veg wrote: because if you play CC for more than 30 minutes straight, you're bound to have a reason. MOID count, particle count, glows, scripts, whatever. MOIDs self regulate, everything else causes lag (and if it crashed from lag, you would know). Scripts are the only thing that really cause crashes. Once again, talking straight out of your ass. |
