Hey, I bought the Humble Indie Bundle 2, and I was looking forward to trying Cortex Command, but I found myself unable to play the game with sound on after I found that for some reason, all of the other sounds play at normal volume, but the jetpack sounds extremely loud and maybe a bit distorted. Anyone have some kind of idea as to what's going on here? |

I've got no idea, but I'm gonna suggest you that you rather use Windows version under WINE - works MUCH better. |

I'm having sound problems too (freeze, random crash) It seems there is a problem with OpenAL sound engine, and developers are aware of it. Let's hope it is easy to solve so we can see a patch soon,  More info here: http://www.phoronix.com/forums/showpost.php?p=162816&postcount=165 |

I confirm this. The jetpacks and rockets are much more quiet on other platform. Actually, that's because the jetpack noise level is not included in "Sound effects volume". |
