Post Gamepad either cannot aim or buy B24 (Humble Indie Bundle)
Hi,
I have a Microsoft Sidewinder usb gamepad that has 6 buttons (A, B, X, Y, L, R) and one directional pad. If I configure it to use dpad up for aim or move up, dpad down for aim down or move down, etc. according to the flashing examples in the configuration screen, I can aim properly. However, if I press for the radial menu and try to move to the top left buy option, nothing happens. It's like top left does not exist. The same goes for bottom right. Also, I have no possibility to crouch (the system never asks for a button for that).

However, if I reset the gamepad to the game's defaults, The dpad up direction causes my guys to jump and down causes them to crouch. I also have an extra jump button on the controller. In this case, the radial menu works well, but I have no buttons for aiming. My guy will be limited to shooting in whichever direction he was pointing at in the beginning.

The results are identical with a friend's Windows laptop using this game controller, and on my main Linux 64-bit machine.
Any ideas?

Cortex Command is supposed to be played with an analog controller.

With aiming/jumping on your preffered directional method.

Let's put this a bit more clearly:
If I configure it manually,
up, down, left, right, bottom left, and top right work properly.
Only bottom right and top left do not work. I cannot believe this is because my controller is of some wrong type.
