Post Mouse not working (Mac Version)
Hi,

I just bought the game at the Humble Indie Bundle, downloaded it for Mac and launched it.
The mouse doesn't respond. I mean, I can move the cursor, but there's another cursor in the game screen, just static, and I can move it using the keyboard movement key.

My mouse is a microsoft wireless mouse that has always worked perfectly with every Mac app or game.

Is this a known problem?

Thanks.

EDIT: I can move the cursor with the keyboard keys as those are "Player 2 controls". In the settings.ini every movement associated to the mouse seems to be asigned to keymap 0. So I suppose the game doesn't find my mouse maybe? Also, I've got a Xbox360 controller, from which the game can't detect the two sticks, but it detects every other button. This doesn't happen in Windows.

Buy a PC.

Have you tried changing your control settings in the settings menu in-game?

The "Move it with your keyboard" is the new controller-enabled GUI, which is a nice addition. If your mouse doesn't work, try using a controller. Much better when friends are over, 'cause plugging a few in is easy.

I have a partition with PC, but I work mainly with Mac or Linux.

When reassigning keys to the 'keyboard + mouse' mode it only reassigns the movement, fire, etc keys, and not the 'mouse' actions.

That doesn't solve the issue, just evades it. I prefer the mouse, and anyway as I said, it seems the gamepad detection (at least in Mac) doesn't work too well.

I'll see if I can reproduce the issue when I get the opportunity.

Do you have a different mouse you can test it with?

Hi,
The http://wiki.allegro.cc/index.php?title=Allegro_TODO mentions something about mouse cursors on Mac when fullscreen. Did you try the mouse in window mode? (alt-enter)

I did :/

I never had this issue in any game or app anyway.
Also, it doesn't recognize the thumbsticks of my xbox360 pc controller on Mac (but it does on windows7).

Couple of things to try, as I have the same issue periodically.
Are you using the "microsoft mouse" preference pane to configure the mouse?
Try clicking outside the window, then back into it (this has a good success rate for me).
Try it with a totally different mouse plugged in at the same time.

Basically, CC acts odd with non-system mice, so anything with a driver for example fails in strange ways.
For example, it thinks that my generic bluetooth mouse is a joystick, and continues to move in whatever direction you push it in.
It thinks my wacom tablet is four or five inches behind its current position (pause and it pauses on the "tail," continue and it follows).
About the only thing it likes are apple's standard mice and trackpads, and super generic USB mice sometimes.
