Ubuntu 10.10 64-bit - Error on startup (failed to load file)
Hi there,
I just bought the indie Bundle 2, and installed Cortex Command on my computer.
However, when I try to run it I get the following error message:
Code:
Abortion in file ../System/ContentFile.cpp, line 576, because:
Failed to load datafile object with following path and name:
Base.rte/GUIs/Skins/MainMenu/text
The last frame has been dumped to 'abortscreen.bmp'
Trace/breakpoint trap
the abortscreen.bmp is black, as it never even starts with the game...
I tried the following:
- Reinstalling
- Running and/or installing it as root/sudo
- verified that the missing filename exists at the correct directory
- tried to remove .bmp from text.bmp (as the message doesnt say anything about it)
I have not tried the 32 bit version yet, will inform how that works out when I downloaded it (11 KB/sec
)
specs (though don't think this has anything to do with it):
Ubuntu 10.10 - 64-bit
Intel core i7
Nvidia Quadro 3800m
It seems a lot of users have problems with the 64bit version, as shown
hereAny tips how to fix this?
[EDIT] I have downloaded the 32 bit version, and that one seems to be working properly.
