Nothing happens when I start it up.
When I try to play it, at first It looks like it is starting to open, then the icon just fades off. If you peopel don't know what I mean, I use a WIndos 7, and an open program is highlighted. it just fades off without even the program starting. HELP!

Is it in program files?

Well, I put it into Program Files (x86). I'll try the things you said might work on this other person's. If it doesn't work, I'll reply again.

Re: Nothing happens when I start it up.
It isn't that it's Windows 7, I can assure you. I've played CC on Windows 7 many times, and it works fine.
You shouldn't have to run it in compatibility mode, so if you are, turn it off. Make sure it's in a folder on your Desktop, as there are a number of issues when it's installed in Program Files.
Don't mash Esc at all, that will close Cortex Command.
If all else fails, reinstalling is always worth a shot.
Are you running 32 or 64 bit?

Mine runs CC perfectly with w7 64bit, so it's most certainly not that.

Press Crtl-Alt-Del and go to processes, terminate the CortexCommand.exe process then try again.

I've had the exact same problem. Disable COMDO's Defense+, doesn't even work if you set an exception.

Re: Nothing happens when I start it up.
That happens a bit on my school laptop. The game icon fades, and after mashing it (I suggest you don't do this!), the game eventually opens in default resolution, with an error: Resolution not supported, reverting back to VGA etc. I close the game and re-open it, and it reopens fine. This may just be happening on the crappy school laptops though, so 'listen to my advice last...

Maybe do a Registry scanning as well, fixed my problem last time.
