Post Resolution problem
Hey, guys!
Firstly, thanks a bunch for such a great game as Cortex Command is!

I have a problem to launch CC in 1680x1050. It worked well with Radeon 4870X2 on the same machine, but now I switched to GTX470.
Both displays that are connected are capable of this resolution. Here is how it looks like during the loading screen (scaled down from 1680x1050):

Here is a part if the settings file:
Code:
   ResolutionX = 1680
   ResolutionY = 1050
   TrueColorMode = 1
   PaletteFile = ContentFile
      FilePath = Base.rte/palette.bmp
   Fullscreen = 1
   NxWindowed = 1
   PostProcessing = 1
   PostPixelGlow = 1
   PixelsPerMeter = 20
   PlayIntro = 1
   ConsoleScreenRatio = 0.4
   DeltaTime = 0.0166667
   RealToSimCap = 0.0749992
   HSplitScreen = 0
   VSplitScreen = 0

Other resolutions work well. Is there a way to make it work?

Thanks in advance!

CC was built for reasonably low resolution. Even if, by some miracle you got this to work, the actors would be so small it would render the game unplayable.

My advice: 640*480 or 800*600 in a x2 window.

I use 800x600 windowed. And I love it.

@Roast Veg, Natti: thanks! Yes, it's very well playable in 800x600, just wanted to get maximum of it. Strange thing it worked before with the different video card. BTW, in 1680x1050 it was playable too, but the computation was quite slow in this resolution, especially during the massive bomb cover etc. :)

Due to the number of pixels it needed to compute. Natti is right, 800*600 windowed is just about perfect.

Yeah, 800x600 is perfectly fast. However the picture is proportionally wider :) I mean in full screen.
