Is this with mods? Make sure a mod isn't doing it.

I doubt it. That generally just freezes at the blank black screen.

Have you tried reinstalling into a new place? What OS are you using?

That'd be the problem. Try moving it to somewhere outside of program files.

I have the same problem, I can play campaign fine, my Skirmish Activities.ini is normal, and it happens the moment after I click the CPU difficulty. This has already happened to me twice before and reinstalling fixed it for a short while, but now I have mods and it's getting ridiculous. I have tried it on two systems, both running Windows 7. I do not have it installed in Program files, and I have tried running it off of a flashdrive and not. Does anyone know what the problem is here?

I use Windows 7 and it runs fine, installed in my documents under a games folder, mine is 64 bit if that makes a difference, any themes, running programs, other problems or hardware?

Do you have skirmish activities enabled in the Mission.rte/Index.ini? There aren't two slashes in front of the "IncludeFile = Missions.rte/Skirmish Activities.ini"?

@ittswillis & ManningQB18:
May we see your currently active Activities please? I have a feeling that the activities are present, but contain bad syntax or other issues.
