To many objects in scene editor turns weapons into terrain
I have noticed that if you place a lot of object via the scene editor, whenever you test the map the guns turn into terrain, and any remaining guns that didn't turn into terrain are not able to be picked up by actors until either:
1. You buy more guns from the store 2. You kill one of the actors you placed at the start
This will still happen even if you only have 1 or 2 actors, but have a lot of bunker bits/modules/systems/ect., so I don't see how it is related to the MOID limit thing.

No, that's not it. It will still happen even only if you have one gun on the level, what I am saying is that by placing to many things via scene editor placed guns basically stop working.

If you have over 25 holdable objects on the field at once, unheld, the oldest ones will turn into unholdable MOSRotatings that will eventually settle.

That wasn't the problem I was having, I figured it out on my own. Somehow, the MaxUnheldItems thing got set to 0.

Ah, that would do it. And I amend my earlier statement, the 25 is not a set limit but the limit that's in settings.ini.

I set it to 500, so I don't think I will be running into this problem again any time soon.

as well as that this could happen in spectacular ways if you break the MOID limit. like, randomly exploding body parts spectacular. but unless you have an infinite clone generator, that's not happening any time soon,

The MOID limit has nothing to do with devices at all, so, actually it wouldn't. Besides which, there's no real errors with MOID count overdrawing while still in scene editor/bunker editor.

Re: To many objects in scene editor turns weapons into terrain
um...
i though that every "item" counted
ie: leg, leg, arm, arm, chest, chestplate, helmet, head, gun = heavy coal with gun and 9 moids...
and yes, i was under the impression that this took place in actual gameplay and not the editor mode. my bad...

Attachables (which includes guns, while held) do count towards the MOID limit; you are correct in that statement. However, the OP's issue was with unheld items settling after they exceeded the limit set in Settings.ini. While unheld, items do not count towards the MOID limit.
