Post Registered through a mod?
A few days ago, I was installing a few mods, and when I launched CC, it said it was registered!
I haven't bought CC, yet, or attempted to hack it. It said that it was registered to dataccount@gmail.com.
I unregistered it to be honest, but today, after installing LFOW's remastered modules and prefabs, it happened again. Same email address.
Is it possible that the mods registered it? Im running CC b23 on a Mac.

Can you list exactly what mods you installed?

Also, do you unregister when you take out the mods?

I have Cloning Factory, the FBM CB 4200, District 9 Alien armory, Orion Arm Union, Shook's Huge pack of Mods,
the deadly vinepit of death, AR2 Pulse rifle/Hunter Flechette Gun, LFOW's Remastered Modules and Prefabs, DS Tech Corp,
TAC Nuke Corp, Tek Troopers, Stasis Generator, Kloveska Military Force, and Titan. I think that's all of them.

I haven't tried taking out the mods before unregistering manually. I will if it happens again.

He's asking if it automatically unregisters when you take out the mods, just like how it registered when you put them in.

I was (in a sinister manner) hoping nobody would post about this.
In the Mac version, if you firewall CC or it cannot connect to licensing servers, it decides you are registered.
For instance, turning off your wifi, with no other connection. You can also use the built-in firewall, controlled via the terminal to do the block.

I may have been playing using LittleSnitch to keep CC from even seeing a network to talk to, let alone utter a single ping.
It's ironic, as LittleSnitch itself is a demo, and that only lasts 3 hours before it nags you…

Well, I'm probably safe for the time being, as the release cycle is nice and leisurely.
Cat's out of the bag, here's data about it.

I've tried registering with the network on using this key and mail, and it (duh) fails.
The glitch cannot be reproduced by my windows friends at all.
It might be just because the Mac version assumes you are registered, rather than unregistered.
There is no data in settings.ini at all, the instant there is (like putting this in) it will deem you unregistered, regardless of connection.

I highly reccomend bluring that image.

It's not like it's hard to get out of the game anyway.
I figure that as it's not usable, nobody should care.

If you hit unregister, nothing happens but your settings.ini decides you're not registered, and the glitch stops working.
Putting it back in fails, as Data is still registered.
