For some odd reason, winrar won't work anymore. I can't think of any reason besides recently I changed the resolution and downloaded Gotcha!'s Map Pack 3, both of which require some minimal base.rte changing. I've tried rebooting but it doesn't help too much.
Anyone else had this problem before?

How would changing Cortex Command things mess up WinRAR, an extraction utility?

I was hoping someone would know what was wrong, sorry if I spammed or whatever.

It doesn't, I'm just wondering how you thought that it was related to changing Cortex values. Have you tried reinstalling Winrar?

or, just grab an alternative archiving program. 7zip is pretty popular from what i've heard, and free.

How exactly is it that Winrar isn't working? Is it not extracting, opening or what?

@Duh102- Yes I've reinstalled it, restarted computer, and even tried getting it from different sources.
@Geti-Is it only for zip files?
@411 etc.- I don't know about you guys but for me, since I got a ghetto version, winrar has to install itself each time I use it. ._.' it's always really quick though.
Anyways when it does that it basically isn't able to do anything. Example:
Extracting Wincon, Extracting Default, etc.
Then under it in red text it says Cannot create wincon, cannot create default etc.
so yeah I'd say it's not opening.

7zip opens pretty much any archive, not only .zip.

If you needed to reinstall every time you used it I think you need to reinstall it using a new install file.
Get one from here.
Anyway, don't worry about the trial thingo, all it does is ask you to buy or continue when you open it.
